Bringing up the boys

Created by Matthew 13 years ago
Despite being separated from their Mother, Martin always made time for his two eldest sons Matthew and Tommy. Some of the fondest childhood memories are of their Dad and the adventures he used to take them on. Every school summer holiday, Martin would have the boys come and visit and take them to exciting theme parks such as Alton Towers, Blackpool Pleasure Beach and Camelot. Martin and Janice would always take the boys on exciting holidays. From caravanning in Wales to beach holidays in Portugal. The most exciting of which had to be their holiday to Florida. He took them to Disney land, the Epcot centre, MGM studios and Bush gardens the boys had a tremendous time and it is a memory of their Father they will always cherish. Martin would also make sure that he came down and visited the boys in Southampton as often as he could, and would take them swimming or to the cinema (followed by a McDonalds happy meal). Some times he would even take them to a Southampton or Chelsea football match. It was a great source of pride for Martin, watching his boys grows up into decent young men, to see them graduate from University and start out on their own lives. It is a tremendous shame and sadness that Martin is no longer with us, and will not be able to experience the other important events in his children’s lives that some fathers are lucky enough to share. However through the love and support that their Dad showed them, both Matt and Tom know that Martin will be with them forever, always in their hearts and memories.
